I designed this for myself but thought others may find it useful. I know there are other more complex 35mm film holders for dSLR scanning but I wanted something simple and flat that used less filament and could be used to scan either a standard 4 negative cut or a whole roll. The mask is divided up into two identical halves so print two of them to form the one film mask. I also wanted it to block the majority of the light bleed from the rest of the lightboard that you put it on without having to use a tube that goes onto the lens because we all use different lenses for this and occasionally I may be using one lens for something else and didn't want to print multiple tubes so this works as well by using a mask base that extends outwards from the film mask. The film mask attaches to the film base by just fitting it over the round pegs, they should fit snug enough to hold it in place, if not you could always glue it. As you'll see in the pic, I just used duck tape to fasten it to my lightboard which worked well. The third file are tiny square pegs which you can use when gluing the two halves of the film mask together to make sure it ends up in the right place and doesn't crop your negatives irregularly. These pegs are NOT meant to hold the two halves together, just to act as a guide when gluing the two halves together. Obviously the whole thing works better if you can print it out of matte black filament but if not painting it probably works as well though I can't say for sure. All parts should be printed at 0.15mm layer height to maintain the specific measurements and small but necessary round bevels.
