35mm film DSLR digitizing rig

I'm sharing my 35mm film digitizing setup, and I hope you like it - if you do, post a make. I used most parts that are 3D printed, except for the 15mm aluminum tubes and Arca Swiss QR clamp. Any video light will work, but I used a Viltrox video LED light with adjustable color temperature. It costs about $25 and is powered by a standard 12V DC plug, which uses a 5.5x2.1mm connector. This light seems to use cool and warm white LEDs, and adjusting the ratio of these two groups allows for cooler or warmer white colors and varying light intensities. As it's designed as a video light, it doesn't flicker and causes no banding with digital shutter. The film holder in the middle between the light and camera is height-adjustable - it needs to be precisely adjusted so that the sensor plus lens plus film frame are on the same axis. The film holder is based on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3146065, which I modified. Hair rubber bands hold the two parts together, flatten the film and allow for free sliding of the film when opening the film holder by hand. The height-adjustable film holder should be easy to replace with a 6x6 holder. The holder frame is large enough that it shades the video light from entering the lens. It could be improved by placing a larger mask between the film holder and the light source.
