35mm cheap motor adapter for Mini Drill Press
thingiverse
To enhance MarkBenson's simple design, I chose to modify a few aspects of my drill press. The locking screw in the gear was unreliable, so I replaced it with a self-locking M8 nut held between two nuts. Instead of using a drill, I utilized an old motor from discarded electronics and a low-cost eBay chuck, which offered better value than other options. For the base, I selected a more sturdy and stable MDF alternative instead of the printed one. Following the instructions, print both parts or just one if desired. The motor mount requires bottom screw holes for securing the motor, back screws to fasten it to the main drill press, and side screw holes to hold the retention spring in place.
