35mm and 40mm Fan intake directors
prusaprinters
Simple “shroud” to give your fan a hint about which direction you want it to pull air from.I originally designed this quickly to fix a problem with a Biqu H2 Revo on my Ender where it was pulling filament residue away from the nozzle which would eventually end up as gossamer strands that got sucked into the fan. It had a side effect of reducing some warping issues with ABS/ASA presumably because the fan had previously been causing drafts over the print.I decided to upload it now in a 40mm version for Prusa MK4 to help with this admittedly niche issue.Printed in PETG for heat deflection but it's not right up against the hot end or heat sink so in theory, PLA might be fine. The one pictured is Prusament Galaxy Black PETG.2023-04-24: Added versions with a simple fan grill to help you keep your fingers out of the fan. Print them with simple grid style supports with at least 3 interface layers and they should pop right out. The need is due to the offset to avoid fan blades potentially dragging against the print.
