357 Revolver

In our school, a student created the initial 3D model of this gun as part of a high-resolution assignment in 3D Studio. Andrew designed, built, and disassembled it to print on our Makerbot. The pieces were printed in silver, except for the grips and sights which were black; we used rafts only for small parts like sights and barrel. To make the barrel spin, a piece of filament was inserted through the center hole into the indentations on the left side; you may need to widen the hole slightly. The barrel was then attached by gluing the left and right halves together using the inserted filament as a connector. Support pieces were removed from the grips, which were then glued together before being attached to the gun. Finally, the trigger, hammer, and sights were glued into place. Enjoy your new replica gun, but be cautious due to its realistic appearance.
