35 mm adapter for fan mount
thingiverse
I struggled to find an adapter that matched my printer's dimensions when I wanted to replace my cooling system, so I decided to create my own design which is available for download here. Autodesk Inventor files from 2016 will be included, allowing you to customize the adapter as desired. The adapter fits this particular fan holder type: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:407741 Below are some guidelines for assembly and printing: I printed my adapter at a layer height of 0.2 mm with an infill density of 30%. I set the first layer to print at 0.4 mm and kept speeds around 45-55 mm/s with low acceleration. The entire print process took approximately 38 minutes. It's worth noting that assembling the Open Hardware design required some patience due to a sign in the middle that needed to be aligned correctly. During the initial stages, I encountered some difficulties with the first two layers looking slightly distorted but it eventually worked out okay.
