35 degree Thorsman plate VGA, HDMI, 2 x Keystone
thingiverse
I work at a school. In the classroom, our Thorsman channels offer various outlets such as vga, hdmi, ethernet and 3.5mm stereo-headphone connections. We struggled to find a module that could hold all four types of connections required for our computers. I took it upon myself to create a customized Wally-plate, designing it to match the size of Thorsman. To optimize the use of space, I rotated the plate by 35 degrees, allowing for easier cord connection in the channel. Update 1 - June 26: I developed an additional horizontal version of the module, complete with enhanced clamping features that fit more snugly on the device. Update 2 - June 26: One of the initial design issues was resolved when we adjusted the angles of the three bottom clamps. Originally, they had to be printed without supports due to angles above 45 degrees; this made printing quite challenging. Furthermore, I realized a mistake in my earlier design - the VGA port lacked a sufficient wall depth to accommodate our "Female-Female" adapter.
