I made some adjustments to the lid design, giving it more clearance for the screws inside. The sides were looking a bit thin after printing, so I added some extra room to ensure the latch operates smoothly. The updated file is now called lid 3. Next up, I created a custom ammo box for storing .338 Lapua rounds. To prevent damage, the bullets are stored tip-down within the box. The design also supports the shoulder of each cartridge, guaranteeing even long OAL rounds will fit comfortably. I modeled it to resemble a metal ammo can for added authenticity. The handle is an optional feature that doesn't need to be printed if you prefer. However, if you do decide to print the "handle and ends" along with the links, be sure to drill out the holes in the lid afterwards. These holes are clearly marked on the inside of the lid when printed for your convenience. As for the lid seal, it's an optional feature that must be printed using TPU material. To achieve optimal results, use print settings of 0.20 with two bottom and top layers (totaling 0.4) and a single perimeter wall with no infill.
