330 Tilt-arm quad racer drone
pinshape
I'm publishing this unfinished project without any intention of completing it. By assembling all the parts and doing some drilling, it flies perfectly, but in my opinion it's a bit too large and heavy, so I'm working on a 220-class tilt-arm version. This is a first test video flight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFe7Fs5_32g Here's how it moves the arms: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvURjdxvo6I And here's a video recorded with a Mobius camera mounted in flight at 330 degrees tilt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLdhbNzQayw To print this project, you'll need: * 2 mainplates * 2 Arm to servo linkages * 1 Servo case * 1.5 Camera protection units (front protection and 2 joint units) * 4 arm supports * 1 arm spacer * 4 additional arm supports You'll also need some hardware: * 4 ball bearings, 18x12x4 mm. I use these: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=75522 * 12 spacer units, 35mm long. These are the same as used in micro frames like the ZMR250. I use these: http://www.banggood.com/10PCS-M35-M320-M335-Inner-Thread-Round-Aluminum-Pillar-Spacer-Red-For-Multicopter-QAV250-PC-Board-p-1002052.html * A carbon or aluminum tube, 12 mm in diameter, to the desired length. * 1 servo metal gear. I prefer fast and torquey ones. I used these: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=19959 * Linkage stoppers: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=43160 * Metal push rods: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=63710 * M3x10 screws
