This is a pump hose adapter designed to transition from the interior of a 32mm hose connected to the pool/pump to a 16mm outside diameter garden hose. If the garden hose fails to remain in place, gently push it further into the adapter and then secure with tape by pulling back on the tape. As an alternative, you can install an O ring or a copper pipe olive, or insert a small section of copper pipe into the garden hose to expand it, ensuring it stays firmly lodged in the adapter. Numerous garden hose adapters significantly restrict water flow, thereby compromising pump efficiency. *Update - V2* Added a slight indentation to facilitate water flow into the 16mm hose and minimize back pressure from the large flat surface of the plug.
