I created a set of darkfield filters measuring 32 mm OD and 4 mm thick. Designed specifically to fit the swing-out filter holder of a Leitz/Leica HM-LUX compound microscope, this set is ready for use. Included micrographs show fine soil particles suspended in water. The first image clearly demonstrates the darkfield filter's effectiveness, while the second micrograph with its vibrant orange hue showcases standard brightfield lighting. Darkfield illumination makes it easier to appreciate the intricate texture and rich colors of the soil. You can open the included .f3d file in Fusion 360 to customize the dimensions of the filter according to your preferences.
