I designed a small adapter piece to use with this camera holder http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:597150, and I'm excited to share how I created it. First, I took inspiration from vangmout's original design of the tube shape, but I wanted to add a twist - literally! I modified his design to include a cork screw feature. However, when I tried importing the STL file into Autocad, I encountered an issue with too many faces. This forced me to rework the design from scratch. To create this adapter piece, I started by drawing two circles of different sizes in my CAD software. One circle had a diameter of 8mm, while the other was much smaller at 4mm. Next, I added a septagon shape to the larger circle and extruded it to match the height of the camera holder. The next step involved subtracting the smaller cylinder from the larger one, creating the desired shape for my adapter piece.
