Accidentally purchasing a roundover extruded rail turned out to be advantageous for creating an innovative first 3D printer base. Corner brackets with feet were designed, initially modeled in Solidworks but later optimized through Netfabb Cloud Service before printing in Slic3r using Pronterface. Fastening requires a 5/16-18 hex-head bolt (e.g., McMaster 91251A581) and tapping the center hole of the aluminum with a 5/16-18 thread.
