30mm PVC Pipe Filament Wall Mount (Fits 5kg rolls)
prusaprinters

I couldn't find a wall mount for my filament that could hold large Zyltech 5kg rolls so I made one myself. It holds up one full 5kg (11lbs) roll supported by a PVC pipe up to 35mm in diameter.

Each rack will use about 60g of filament printed at 25% infill. I recommend higher if you plan on stressing it with multiple rolls.

Edit 12/14/19: Decreased the hole size from 8mm to 3mm, increased tapered height to better fit #8 wood screws, increased length and location of top screw hole for easier installation with a drill.

Edit 1/27/2020: Removed old versions for updated ones. Decreased length of wall hanging part so we can use shorter screw lengths. I've kept my roll up and switched ones out for about a week and they still hold up. Wall Anchors are required.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

FlashForge

Printer:

Creator Pro

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

25%

Filament: Zyltech PLA White

Category: 3D Printing
