Advantages allow you to increase your printable height Drawbacks occur when the platform section connecting rod arms distorts at extremely high temperatures in both the heated-bed and extruder for instance when printing with ABS(110℃,230℃). To counter this I wrapped aluminum tape around the part and added a second fan to cool not only the platform section but also to circulate air inside printed objects through an attached hole. The additional fan performed exceptionally well serving two purposes making it clear that fans cooling printed objects are essential for achieving high-quality prints. I connected the fan using wires. Highly recommended, you print the fan mount with ABS for its excellent heat resistance and print quality of the parts. I modified STL files created by Mr Ohmarinus available on thingiverse(www.thingiverse.com/thing:127932)
