Allow 30mm fans on the layer cooler to be used instead of replacing the ducts. Replacing the box fan with a standard 30mm fan, like those used in E3D peek coolers, serves as a temporary fix until new box fans can be purchased and mounted. Mount a 30mm fan and insert it into the existing duct. When building my Rostock Max V2, I had several 30mm fans on hand to enable full layer cooling without having to create another layer duct or replace the E3D hotend. Instead, I created an adapter using an existing cooler to accommodate the 30mm fan and utilize the proper Squirrel cage fan. Existing layer ducts are either designed for 40mm fans or are too large for use with the E3D hotend when a 30mm fan is required. This makes it necessary to find alternative solutions rather than design yet another layer duct, which may lead to unnecessary modifications and potential errors. Using the created adapter allows the efficient installation of 30mm fans on existing coolers while minimizing alterations and providing effective results in 3D printing operations.
