A custom fan mount/cover with built-in spacers, perfect for adding an extra 40mm fan to your e3D v6 hotend on a prusa i3. The idea is simple: double the fans means twice the cooling power. The problem I faced was that my e3D v6 hotend would clog whenever I used Cura because it wouldn't turn on the fan until after the print started. Even using the M106 G.code command to keep the fan always on, it still waited too long for the nozzle to clog. To solve this issue, I created a setup that allows you to attach another 40mm fan right on top of the standard 30mm fan and wire it directly to your power supply. This way, the additional fan is always on when the printer is in operation. The design can also be adapted for other configurations, allowing you to stack two or more fans as needed. Printing this custom fan mount/cover takes around 20 minutes at a speed of .4, and just 5 minutes at a faster rate of .8.
