30cm 50 led pixel star for Bunnings Spiral Obelisk

<p>Wanted a star I could print for my Bunnings Spiral Obelisk, and I'm too lazy to split a string of 50 pixels into 30, or 25 so I spent 3 days (off and on) drawing and laying out the pixels in this - twice cos the first time I forgot that fusion 360 takes circles as diameter but polygons as radius, boy did that look big in the slicer.</p> <p>Features:</p> <ul> <li>Obviously holds 50 pixels</li> <li>Sits on top of the Bunnings Spiral Obelisk - depending on QC at the factory may even actually positively engage the ball at the top (2 of my 4 did)</li> <li>2 zip tie holes so the weight of the cables isn't pulling on any nodes.</li> </ul> <p>You will need:</p> <ul> <li>1 x 3D Printer with a 300x300mm build plate</li> <li>2 x zip ties</li> <li>50x 12mm LED pixel nodes</li> </ul> <p>Important Note: Flip the everything so that the flat face is on the build plate unless your printer is mad good at bridging and you like a lot of supports.</p> <p>Something that might be fun is to sub model the star in the middle of the star</p> <h3>Print Settings</h3> <p><strong>Printer Brand:</strong></p> <p>Creality</p> <p class="detail-setting printer"><strong>Printer: </strong> <div><p>CR10S PRO</p></div> <p><strong>Rafts:</strong></p> <p>No</p> <p class="detail-setting supports"><strong>Supports: </strong> <div><p>No</p></div> <p><strong>Resolution:</strong></p> <p>0.3</p> <p class="detail-setting infill"><strong>Infill: </strong> <div><p>10</p></div> <p><strong>Filament:</strong> Esun PETG Black</p> <p><br/> <p class="detail-setting notes"><strong>Notes: </strong></p> </p><div><p>I'm sorry, this model is really 300x300 depending on your printer and your slicer and your filament settings you may need to convince your printer it's a 305x305 printer due to line thickness.</p> I assure you, it does fit on a 300x300 bed <p>No brim or skirt.</p> </div></p></p></p> Category: Other
