You're looking to build a high-power power supply with an ammeter that's surprisingly affordable. You can grab a 30-amp supply for peanuts, check out the list for shopping sources. Everything was purchased on Amazon except for the power switch, which came from Radio Shack. Any switch with a 20mm hole will work fine as a replacement. You'll need 3 M4x6mm bolts to attach the power supply to the panel. To make room, cut down the shunt by cutting off most of it and leave one hole for the smaller bolt but remove the bigger ones completely.
