This case holder is designed to hold 80 .308 Winchester cartridges, primarily intended for reloading purposes. However, if you prefer not to carry boxes of ammunition, this device can also serve as a convenient storage option. Before embarking on printing this model, it's essential to consider the number of walls you want to include. My case holder features three walls with a thickness of 1.2mm, and I recommend adopting a similar configuration for optimal performance. To accommodate .30-06 or .300 Winchester Magnum cartridges, I made the device slightly taller than standard dimensions. There is a moderate degree of play between the cartridges to facilitate easy removal and replacement. Nevertheless, you can adjust the design as needed to achieve the desired level of tightness. Once the initial layers of the circular components have been printed, you can inspect how well the shells fit inside and pause the print before excessive plastic waste accumulates.
