3060 T-slot slider
thingiverse
Currently working on building a custom XY platform for my plasma cutter. Needed some rollers/sliders, so I decided to create some that would work seamlessly with 3060 T-slot extrusion. I AM OBSESSED with those T-slots! They're incredibly versatile and easy to work with. I chose to use plastic roller wheels that can be easily found on eBay - specifically, POM wheels with 625zz bearings and a 5mm bore. These are perfect for this application. The entire assembly is remarkably stiff, with no more than 0.25mm of play. For most applications, this is more than sufficient. To assemble the back components, I'm using 10-32 machine screws (5mm will work just fine). You may need to drill holes to ensure a precise fit. Next up, I'm working on another component that will handle the movement at the end of the T-slot - and it's going to be powered by a GT2 belt. Stay tuned for those updates!
