3030 t-nut clip
prusaprinters

This is a simple clip for holding t-nuts in place in 3030 extrusion that I made as an assembly aid. This was designed for and tested in Misumi HFS6-3030 extrusion. Simply press the clips into the slot where needed or slide in from an end. They should be a snug fit but move without too much effort. I think I will be making a 2020 version soon.

Update 1-25-2018:
I had tried making a similar thing for 2020 extrusion but the smaller dims + tolerances didn't work well. Maybe something like this could still be done with a flexible, but I doubt I will try that unless I find myself working with a lot of 2020.

Print instructions

Category: DIY Print Settings

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: doesn't matter

Infill: doesn't matter

Notes:

Most of the clip is only two layers thick (if printed with a typical .4 mm nozzle) You can print it solid or just one layer thick if you want. I've only made with PETG so far, so it may not work quite as well in other materials.
