I built a magnetic latch and knob system for my printer door, using two 5mm diameter ball magnets per latch to boost the pull slightly. The magnets align perfectly with the screw head that secures the knob due to the clear door design. The latch holds the door shut firmly but opens effortlessly. If you need maximum security, this setup might not be ideal. I employed #4 sheet metal screws with 3mm flat washers to fasten the knobs securely. Using 3mm machine screws could also work, just ensure they're not stainless steel.
