As the title suggests this is a spindle adapter. The original spindle holder for the 3018 PROver has a diameter of 42 mm, whereas the aluminum upgrade spindle holder has a diameter of 52 mm. Thus the original motor will not fit. Just slide it over the spindle and it will fit tight in the new aluminum spindle holder.
