3018 CNC Replacement Parts (old version with 10mm X-axis rods)
thingiverse
Upgrade parts you can print to enhance the cheap Chinese 3018 CNC engraver. **X-Carrage** This is designed to fit the original Z axis block and motor but with far more stiffness and mounts for limit switches and cable management for the switches. Recommended to print in PLA with 50% infill for maximum stiffness. The part should be printed on its side and supports are only needed for the anti-backlash pocket off the bed. The print should be paused at 29mm to insert 4 (or 8 double stacked) M3 nuts. Please note that the vertical rods have been moved apart by a small amount to add pre-load to the Z axis linear bearings to remove slop due to low quality/poor fitment of cheap parts. Also please be aware that my 3D printer has seen better days and I have had to adjust some dimensions to account for it's limits. Some holes may be slightly undersized. The linear bearing holes are undersized intentionally and the bearings should be pressed in with a vice. Note the photo shown is of an older revision, the one uploaded here has a port in the front to allow easy servicing of the Z lead-screw coupler and allows the Z axis to be dismantled without removing the stepper motor. **Z-Axis Motor Mount** Coming soon
