30 Facet Globe Knot Mandrel

A 30-facet globe knot mandrel awaits your creativity. Insert 1/8" pins into the pre-drilled holes - you can either cut 1/8" dowels to approximately 1/2"-3/4" lengths or print the provided pin.stl file. Next, follow the intricate pattern with a strand of cord, carefully weaving it around the mandrel. Once complete, gently remove the pins and the knot will easily come off the mandrel. To create a more complex design, you can double or even triple the knot by following its pattern once again with your cord (for optimal results, keep the knot on the mandrel during this process). This 3D printable model was inspired by the wooden globe knots I craft using my Pocket NC machine.
