30 degree angled spool holder 2020 kossel mini
thingiverse
I was dissatisfied with the stock acrylic spool holder that came bundled with the 2020 Kossel Mini kit from Folgertech. It stuck out too far and consisted of two parts, which wasn't ideal. Furthermore, I wanted to feed the extruder motor directly, so I mounted it on the lower rail using a custom bracket I designed for this purpose, rotating the arm by 30 degrees. Print Settings Printer: FolgerTech Kossel Mini Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 15% Notes: To make printing easier, I printed this holder upside down so that the support structure is on top. Although it leaves a rough surface, it doesn't affect unwinding of the spool. Post-Printing Mounting When mounting this holder, it snaps onto the rail securely. For extra safety, I used an allen hex key in the channel behind the holder to keep a T-nut at the correct height and then screwed in an M3 bolt.
