30 B drop-in-nut M3
thingiverse
This is a drop-in nut for 30mm B-type extrusion, the ones with an 8mm slot width. You can go two ways: 1. Built-in threads Use the built-in M3 thread. Higher resolution is better due to the threads. 0.1 worked well for me. It's possible to print the first 12 layers at 0.2 or the first 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 layers at 0.25mm layer height. I did the first layer at 0.2. Note that you can always print this version, try it out. If it doesn't work, drill out the threads and use a nut. 2. M3 nut This might be your only option if your printer can't succeed with the threads and you don't want to pull out your threading tools. Also, there's an STL without the threads if you know you don't want to use them. Press-fit a M3 nut into the underside of the model. In this case, you can print in whatever resolution you want, but 0.1 and 0.25 line up with the z-dimension of the nut. Remember to drill out the threads with a 3mm drill before pressing in the nut.
