3-Wheeled Print Carriage
thingiverse
This is a redesign of spauda01's D-Bot print carriage, reimagined for smoother operation. One persistent issue I encountered was getting the lower two wheels to sit flush against the x-gantry, which resulted in a noticeable shake whenever the print head moved along the x-axis. To address this problem, I've modified the design by removing one of the top wheels and relocating the other to the middle position. This adjustment not only eliminates the unnecessary wheel but also makes it easier to fine-tune the remaining wheel's position. For even more precise adjustments, I've added a convenient spot on the front carriage plate where an M3 nut and bolt can be inserted. This clever solution allows users to gently push the wheel bolt into the v-slot, making it simpler to find the optimal sweet spot without over-tightening the wheels.
