3 Wheel Carriage (2020) with fans and autoleveling
thingiverse
I designed my own carriage after being inspired by lembasbrot's design, but I needed more flexibility than his offered so I didn't use it. I wanted a fixed sensor holder and no need to unscrew fans or other components. Now it is possible to mount and unmount hotends very quickly. I also moved the sensor and fans to the carriage to reduce weight from the hotend. With the tube design at the fans, I can change the height and angle of air flow. At my carriage, I'm using lembasbrot's v5 mount for the sensor holder, and I noticed that others have made parts for the Chimera, Cyclops, and v6 as well. I used my rubber band holder for the sensor: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3010411 This combo has worked very well for me over 100 hours, but I plan to make some changes when I'm motivated: 1) Add a mount for the belt. 2) Include a feature to adjust the tension of the belt. 3) Redesign the sensor holder to place the sensor under the belt. 4) Create a PCB for all connectors. 5) Possibly move the fans to the level holder under the belt. 6) Possibly change the blower design for a nicer look.
