3 position turning switch

Hello everyone, this is a simple three-position turning switch. It's small in size and comes in two versions: a flange in front for panel installation or a flange in the back for installation behind a panel. The center pin rotates when you turn the switch, so do not solder it directly onto a board. This switch is not meant to replace all of your industrial switches. It's simply a cheap way to quickly build test circuits and prototypes. I did not test them above 5V or 20mA. The contacts are made from paperclips. You'll need two to three clips for one switch, with wire diameters ranging from 0.8-1.0mm. Please read through the assembly instructions first. Assembly: 1. Use a straight piece of wire or a drill to poke through the holes after printing. 2. Cut three pieces of paperclip wire, each about 15mm long. Bend one of them 5mm from the tip as shown in the picture. 3. Stick the bent piece through the knob axis. 4. Stick the other two pieces through the basket. Bend the ends a little bit so that the bent edges lay inside the bent groove, preventing the contacts from sliding out after assembly. 5. Assemble the axis and basket. 6. Slide the inner case over the basket, matching the grooves with the guiding pins. Check if the bent contact can move freely inside the basket. 7. Slide the outer case over the inner case. Use some glue to prevent rotation but ensure the switch works as expected using a multimeter. 8. Attach the knob. 9. Remove the knob again because you just forgot to put the axis through the panel. 10. Install the switch properly and attach the knob. If the switch is too hard to turn, scratch around the notch on the pin with a small knife. Be careful not to grind it down too much, as this can make the contacts too loose. After a few turns, the switch will run smoother.
