3 Part - Micro Hexacopter (with zip tie slots)
thingiverse
This is an upgraded version of TJWeb's 3 part micro hexacopter design. I'm grateful to TJWeb for providing the foundation for this model. To ensure a stable assembly, I added zip tie slots that securely hold each part together in place. This helps prevent the parts from shifting during flight and minimizes any movement that could be caused by landing hard or taking off unevenly. Adhesives might keep things in place initially but don't offer an ideal solution once you need to repair or replace damaged components. If You're looking to print this model, start by creating three of the required four parts: Hex-Right.stl, Hex-Left.stl, and then either choose between printing two variants: either Hex-Rear.stl or the alternative variant that is labeled as Hex-Rear-36mm.stl. The 36mm variant adds an added feature at a distance of thirty-five point five millimeters to fit perfectly around most flight controllers such as Naze32 or even larger ones. I personally decided on using ProtoPasta CF reinforced PLA material while printing mine currently. As soon as it is fully printed, I will include clear pictures to provide additional visibility for everyone else.
