These models were created using 3D Studio Max (version 2011) and the default scanline rendering engine, making them optimized for use in this environment. We cannot be held responsible for their use in environments other than the recommended one. The models are composed of quads and triangles distributed across their topology in a well-balanced manner. The rendering shown was produced using the default scanline setting. To obtain the same visible rendering in the scene, simply use 3D Studio Max software. MATERIALS AND TEXTURES: Textures measure 2048x2048 pixels and are all in TGA format. The package includes four versions of team kit for catchball: blue, grey, grey-striped, and red. Three versions of team kit for batter are also included: blue, grey, and striped. Four kinds of jerseys for pitcher are available: blue, grey, striped grey, and striped red. RIGGING AND ANIMATIONS: The model is rigged using the standard 3dsmax biped, with additional bones for the face. The package includes seven animations for catchball: catchball center (frames 0-91), catchball down (frames 92-183), catchball up (frames 184-275), squatting position (frames 276-297), idle (frames 298-399), idle squat (frames 400-501), and signs (frames 502-603). Ten animations for batter are also included: batting (frames 0-70), desperation (frames 71-205), another desperation (frames 206-416), exultance (frames 417-439), hit the ball (frames 440-510), idle (frames 511-581), another idle (frames 582-610), walk (frames 611-657), run (frames 658-676), and sliding (frames 677-728). One animation for pitcher is included: pitch. The animations were not created using motion capture. FBX INFO: The FBX format provided in the package can be used as it is, but it cannot be edited. To achieve a similar quality of rendering images like those in the gallery, you must set the materials, lights, and photo settings independently. Both the bat and ball Fbx files are included.
