A fully mechanical ventilator built with composite resins and wood features adjustable parameters such as Respiratory rate, tidal volume, I: E, etc., controlled by a three-link mechanism that compresses a self-inflating bag and delivers oxygen and air mixtures in precise amounts to the patient. A disk rotates at varying speeds, utilizing disks of diverse surface areas to maintain all parameters simultaneously while pumping the self-inflating bag. Simulation ensures all settings are within limits. To alter speeds, a timing belt and continuously variable transmission are employed. This requires 3D printing techniques and carpentry skills. Once perfected, manufacturing one model takes approximately 15-20 minutes using wood or resin materials. Additional safety features include apnea backup kick-in and pressure control to prevent accidents. Electronics are used sparingly to safeguard against regulatory issues.
