3 Jaw Z Coupling for Prusa Mendel

thingiverse

This new 3-jaw coupling enables z-axis alignment adjustment without requiring dimple drilling in a nut or hanging the x-axis from it. The coupling is a two-part print, with parts referred to as the coupling and cup. A heated bed isn't recommended for easy removal of prints. Insert three M3 nuts into captive holes, held by flanges inside. Lock two nuts onto the z-rod, adjusting their position if necessary due to sagging. Place a washer on the rod and slide the cup up onto the coupling. Align the holes and fasten with M3x10 or 12 screws, enabling Z-rod alignment adjustment. Install the Z-rod, attach it to the stepper, and fine-tune alignment for precise Z wobble-free printing.
