3 Jaw Chuck modified to fit together easily

3 Jaw Chuck modified to fit together easily

This is a great project and it produces a very nice and useful 3 jaw chuck. Unfortunately, as originally posted, the parts fit together poorly requiring hours of filing and sanding as other users have commented. The files in this remix are modifications of the original ones which fit together with little or no filing and sanding. All the files except for the main shell have been modified. The "Hex Adapter" is an addition and it converts the awkward Allen holes to much easier and stronger 7/16" Hex nuts. I recommend you print the hex adapters with 0% fill for strength and that you glue them in place. I printed with ABS but PLA should work just as well. I did not have to file or sand at all. The best material for the three retaining rods is 1/8 inch brass , steel, or aluminum stock cut to size. Printing with supports is only required for the 3 drive gears.
