I crafted this adaptation because it's so akin in essence to the original, yet my creation was entirely from scratch utilizing FreeCAD. A buddy required an adapter to transition his 4-inch (inside diameter) dust collector to the 3-inch (outside diameter) dust hood on a Makita 2012NB planer. It only took a few minutes to whip up the straightforward design, but seven hours to bring it into physical form!
