3 Inch Mending Plate
thingiverse
This is actually an opening for a mounting point, not a shape! I use this in Tinkercad. This shape mirrors a standard 3-inch mending plate that I utilize for attaching plates within my designs. Create it as a hole and drag it into your design, and you will be able to fit a standard mending plate in the hole that you can then use to screw your design to a wall, or piece of wood, or your car or whatever. It's far better than using washers! This picture is part of a project box I designed for a Raspberry Pi and some other items. The floor of the box is 5mm thick, the depth of the mending plate is approximately 3mm. This seems to provide ample strength and it's flush with the floor. Be cautious not to short out electronics on it.
