Three-headed Pazuzu. In ancient Mesopotamian mythology, this fearsome demon was revered as king of the demonic forces that ruled the whirlwind, a sibling of Humbaba and offspring of Hanbi, a powerful deity. As the embodiment of the southwestern gale, Pazuzu was said to bring forth tempests and scorching droughts, leaving destruction in his wake. The Bible Lands Museum Jerusalem proudly displays this ancient relic, measuring approximately 10 centimeters in height.
