3-Face pencil cup/desk ornament

My pencil cup features a 3D model of my face, created from a cone-beam CT scan in 2007 for orthodontic treatment planning. The soft tissue was extracted using DeVide software, then refined in Mesh Lab and Blender to create a zero thickness surface STL file. This design is just one example; I can also select bone or other structures from the same CT scan for endless possibilities. Printing this cup required a thoughtful slicing process with Slic3r and careful adjustments, ultimately taking about 9 hours on a MegaMax printer using Coex3D magenta ABS. I've even shared my original CT scan files for others to experiment with if they wish.
