3" Egg Speaker
thingiverse
These speaker enclosures are designed for general 3" speakers, no ring necessary for W3-871SC units. Speaker hole size: 73 mm / 2.88 in Cabinet Volume: approximately 1.1 L / 0.038 ft^3 Bass Port: 37.5 x 28 mm / 1.47 x 1.10 in - Depth 70 mm / 2.75 in Printer requirements include a minimum build area of 150x150x200mm. Included are the Cura profile I use, which allows for layer height adjustments to achieve better detail. However, I recommend using a maximum of 0.16 for 3" speakers and adjusting line width to match nozzle size. I use a 0.6mm nozzle and set my 3" speakers to 0.6mm line width. For smaller nozzles (0.4mm), I use around 0.4mm line width. Set "Z Seam Alignment" to the center of your bed's X and Y axis behind the Egg for optimal results, as I have not had time to test setting it in the middle of the speaker with my new printer. Tap holes are provided for speaker screws; you can also cut a slit in one screw to use as a tap. It is essential to thread these holes or layers will split. For best performance, use Foam Sealing Tape. The small piece of 10mm foam goes in the top and gets held in place between the top and bass port, covering the wall behind the port to minimize midrange escaping out the port. The Feet are printed in Ninjaflex.
