3 DOF Robotic Arm Using SPG30E motor
thingiverse
This project was created for a Robotics Class (BFM4503) to gain deeper insight into the operation of a robotic arm, including DH Parameters, Forward Kinematics and Inverse Kinematics. The robot is a 3 Degree of Freedom robot powered by three SPG30E motors. Three SPG30E Motors and one SG90 Servo are included in this design. A simple 3 Degree of Freedom robotic arm designed specifically for use with the SPG30E DC motor is showcased here. It's recommended not to add support inside the key slot, as print orientation depends on the part itself. This project features a modular design, allowing users to simply print additional arms to increase the degree of freedom. Any gripper design that utilizes an SG90 Servo can be easily added to the end effector. The SPG30E motor can be securely attached to printed parts using M3 screws, with washers recommended as needed for added stability.
