3 DOF Robotic arm
prusaprinters
Background:As part of my bachelor's thesis I designed this robotic arm in order to allow the system to do automatic direction finding for 2.4 GHz. The Github repository for my group's thesis can be found here: https://github.com/anderszk/nRF52832_dev You will also find a parts list for the project if you want to replicate the system. The BsC ends our 3-year bachelor program in electrical engineering with specialization both in automation and electronics. Model description:The 3D model is designed with versatility in mind so that several parts can be used seperately without the need of printing the whole robot. An example is the body bracket for the elevation servo. The bracket will probably fit other standard sized servos from different makes to DFRobot.Note that the horn bracket is intended to be used with an 8.00 mm inner diameter and 16.20 mm outer diameter ball bearing mounted on the elevation servo bottom axle. Model dimentions:Length: 210 mmWidth: 210 mmHeight: Approx. 220 mm Print settings:Layer height: 0.10 mmInfill: 20 %Brim: YesNo supportsI printed all the parts using PLA on 0.10 mm layer height due to the general need of high rigidity in robot applications. All parts have an infill of 20 % except the axle that has 100 % due to machanical strength concerns. I printed every part except the controller box on a Prusa Mini. The .step file for the whole system is also included, so feel free to tweak the individual parts to your needs. Enjoy!
With this file you will be able to print 3 DOF Robotic arm with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on 3 DOF Robotic arm.
