I salvaged another old laptop battery from the disposal box and this one had three lots of three parallel cells wired together in series, so I designed a battery box to house them, also adding space for a small breadboard and a holder for a bare ESP-12 board. In my setup, the three cells are connected in parallel, providing a supply voltage of 3.6 volts (4.1 volts when fully charged). You could, however, wire them together in series to create a 10- to 12-volt battery pack. Unfortunately, the first one I printed didn't quite fit the ESP-12 as shown in the picture, so I made an adjustment on the second one that I uploaded.
