3 blade turbine
thingiverse
The custom-designed wing model utilizes a 3-blade configuration. This model features an airfoil cross-section based on the S835 Shape available from https://wind.nrel.gov/airfoils/Shapes/S835_Shape.html, combined with a tapered design modification proposed by John McCosker in his final report (http://www.ewp.rpi.edu/hartford/~ernesto/SPR/McCosker-FinalReport.pdf). A Python script was used to generate the wing shape in FreeCAD and subsequently copied three times to create a full set of blades. To complete the design, a central hub was added for connection purposes.
