Yes, it's a pencil box!  Well, it could be a box for lots of things, but it's long enough to hold pencils, which turn out to be somewhat longer than most regular pens!  Who knew?  Okay, that's probably common knowledge, but it's one of those things I'd never really considered until designing this box. The thing is, I wanted this to fit, ideally, on a 180mm square printer bed, but pencils are 210+ millimetres long.  So, the box shifted diagonally!  The pointy ends mean that the box makes maximum use of the diagonal length of the bed, yielding plenty of room for your graphite-based writing implements.  Just for neatness, there's an insert that can optionally go into the middle to divide things up a bit.
