I was searching for an affordable method to attach two antennas horizontally on top of a high painters pole. This adapter accepts a 3/8" x 24 hex nut on each side of the mounting hole. Next, I took a 3/8 x 1-1/4" washer with a drilled hole and positioned it between the antenna and the nut, soldering one leg of ladder line to each washer before running the line down to my radio. I utilized supports generated by Cura (2.4 and 2.6 both performed well), but it's a bit challenging to extract all the material from the center hole where the painters pole will go. Be cautious not to pull out the threads when removing supports. The biggest challenge is printing something robust enough to hold the 10 foot whips I'm trying to mount. I'm using PLA and super-gluing the hex nuts in place, but the plastic isn't strong enough and has come apart at the layers. I recommend printing with a stronger material or attempting to strengthen the print with an epoxy coating (assuming it doesn't melt the plastic) or similar. I haven't measured impedance or conducted any significant testing yet, so results may vary! I'm labeling this as a "work in progress" since it's not quite ready for the 10' whips I'm throwing at it, but it'll likely work better for shorter/lighter antennas. I've also included a version with rounded edges. I haven't printed this rounded one yet, but it's a bit more sleek so I'm sharing it in case someone wants to try it out.
