3/8 inch linear rod press fit clamp

cults3d

This is a custom press fit rod clamp I designed and built specifically for my Thing-O-Matic, allowing me to easily adjust the Z home limit switch position on the 3/8-inch linear rod of the Z axis. I created this clamp to overcome the time-consuming process of waiting for the Z-axis to travel ~120mm to find home, which is unnecessary when printing small objects that typically don't exceed 30mm in height. By positioning the Z limit switch closer to its optimal location, I save valuable time and can start new prints more efficiently. This clamp's versatility makes it applicable to various purposes beyond its primary function on my Thing-O-Matic. After relocating the Z limit switch, recalibrating for fresh prints becomes a seamless process thanks to the Replicator 0025's "Thing O Matic Calibration Script." This user-friendly script enables quick and easy recalibration with just a few clicks from within the UI.
