These are the components required to utilize 3/8" rod or tubing, readily available in the US. The bearing holder features an integrated IGUS type bushing, which provides a very smooth surface when printed with PETG filament, similar to Drylin material. I tested these parts on 3/8" aluminum rod obtained from Lowes and included a bearing holder slightly oversized for rods/tubes that are slightly larger. The oversized bearing holder has "ovrsz" in the filename. Print Settings Rafts: Don't worry about it. Supports: No need to use them. Resolution: Set to .25 or better. Infill: Use 50% infill. Notes: The XY joiner can be printed at .25 layer height, but the bearing holder should be printed at .1 layer height for optimal precision. You can print the XY joiner in ABS, but the bearing holder will work best when printed with PET type material due to its lower friction coefficient.
