3.5mm Audio Jack Reinforcement - Right Angle
thingiverse
3.5mm audio jack reinforcement with a sharp, 90-degree angle bend that securely fits standard jacks. Despite initial concerns about compatibility, it perfectly suited mine. The shells of the design form a precisely crafted 4.4mm hole for the wires and an 8.4mm hole for the jack itself. To achieve a smooth finish inside, I printed the parts with supports before carefully sanding the edges where the two shells meet. A thin layer of hot glue is applied to both shells, securing the audio jack in place. The shells are then joined together, and as the glue dries, the cable is gently pushed upwards into the casing. This clever design provides a subtle arch for the wires, adding strain relief and ensuring a longer lifespan. I've been using this durable cable in my car for two years without issues, whereas the original lasted a mere two months.
