3.5mm Audio Jack Reinforcement - Right Angle

3.5mm Audio Jack Reinforcement - Right Angle

thingiverse

3.5mm audio jack reinforcement with a 90 degree angle bend. May not fit all jacks, but it fit mine. Th shells form a 4.4mm hole for the wires, and an 8.4mm hole for the jack. I printed it with supports to make a rough surface inside. I sanded the edges where the shells come together. I put hot glue in both shells, put the audio jack inside, put the two shells together, and as the glue dried I pushed the cable up into the casing. This gave the wires a bit of an arch and hopefully provided a little strain relief. I've been using this cable in my car for 2 years. The original cable lasted 2 months.
